"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them." -- Matthew 7:15-19 |

I'm afraid if I post links to scripture or christian sites it could be construed as "hate speech" or some other kind of "hate" language.
Make sense?

Linking to scripture is fine, as long as it's done in the Abrahamic forum or Open forum, and the scripture is not being used out of context to support any sort of hateful agenda.
So, you're fine.:)

What if someone links to some saying from another book of encouragement or philosophy? Would they also have to find a forum to match that? Open forum is Open forum, once you set a rule that discrimates against a particular group, wouldn't you be creating a hostile environment for that group?
I question...Therefore I think...I think...Therefore I am...I think? |

JADE, I've amended it. So, I hope that settles things.

OK, now to be a real pain. LOL What if one is trying to show differences or similarities etc.
Now I know your intent is to limit how one of one belief uses his sources to back up discussions with someone that can't or won't accept his sources as valid. But as long as a person is being respectful and not trying to cram something down someones throat, it shouldn't be forbidden. For instance, lets say I'm in the pagan forum and ask why a pagan isn't suppose to lie and what if any consequences would happen if he did or what book tell him he shouldn't lie. Then I say that as a Christian, it is one of our 10 commandments and maybe back up with a few other scriptures that adds to the reason for not lieing. Am I going to have to tell the guy to meet me in the Christian forum and I'll explain? That could get a bit muddled. I think as long as folks are being respectful they should be able to use whatever source they have for their reasoning.
Even our little signature lines might break the rules. Which reminds me, can we have a breakpoint or line between our topics and our signature line?
I question...Therefore I think...I think...Therefore I am...I think? |

Jade, I think you can add a brake point by adding *** or ------- You can also use coding to change the color, size or boldness. Hope this helps.
