Yeah, I was a little bit drunk when i wrote that response..which is probably why it doesnt make ANY sense really haha. But however yes obviously the beatles were talented...anyone who still sells records near 50 years after their reign obviously has some form of talent musically. My main point in my response was merely that..just because songs are simple...doesnt mean they arent talented in some way. You can be a mediochre musician with a knack for creating increadibly catchy songs. sadly enough...it's the mediochre musicians that tend to make it on our radio now a days.....but...thats the irony of the music world..it's a fickled bunch
Well, the problem is a simple one. It's easiest to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Most people like simple, mediocre songs that don't move them in any way. So that's what gets put on the radio, and that's what many musicians make. Like McDonalds, it may not be healthy, or interesting, but lots of people like it. Ah well.
