I really do listen to everything. Right now, I'm really into female singers... Kelly Clarkson, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan, The Murmurs, Dixie Chicks... but I also love Green Day, Barenaked Ladies, Guns 'N Roses, Foo Fighters, Death Cab For Cutie. I love classic rock as well. I actually just got a record player a few months ago, so I've been collecting vinyls.. mainly classic rock.. but with some new stuff thrown in as well. My i-Pod has nearly 4,000 songs on it, so yeah, music lover here, haha. :-)

Has anyone given any thought to joining last.fm? It's a website (www.last.fm) that makes a profile based on the music you play (you have to download a small program) on your computer. Once you have how ever many songs (I think it's 100) it suggests music you like based on others who like the same stuff. Each week as your profile gets more detailed, your suggestions get better, and you can even sort them from popular to obscure if you're feeling indie (or not).
I'm on it and have discovered so many new bands that way. It's great. Plus you can get your friends to join, add them to your friends list, and get music suggestions from them as well. Oh right, and now they have concert listings, too.
I can do the robo-cop. |
