Everyone has heard of one. The Hookman. Bloody Mary. Etc.

So, why not share one that you know?

It is the season of Fright, afterall.;)

Okay, we have one or two here although the details I have are scant and I cannot find anything on the net.

Back on a country road is a bridge (small one) where a man was to have killed his family and them hung them underneath and if you drive over it your car stops (I think) I haven't been out there in ages. Also, out that way is a lesser known one of a 'witches' house - pitch black at night and the windows glow. I swear I saw it but that's what adrenaline will do to a person. lol

We have a few.

We have a bridge out about 20 miles from my house called "Troll Bridge", wherein if you stop on the bridge, out in the woods around it, you'll see all sorts of red eyes staring back at you.

Another is Blood Road, a stretch of road wherein a bloody streak runs for about a half-mile.

And the last one I can remember off the top of my head is Cry-Baby Bridge, wherein a mother killed her child by hanging it, and at night you can still hear it's cries (and supposedly see it swinging).

I'm glad I don't live where you do - those are a bit creepy!

Back where I was raised in Oregon/Idaho I think we just had the old regulars(hookman and such). Here is San Diego we got real bad guys and nuts(gangbangers, weirdos and Democrats, LOL) so I don't guess they need to make up anything anymore. So I just don't think I've ever heard of any that comes to mind.

God bless,
JADE

Here is one from my home town. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russellville,_Kentucky

Russellville - The Sexton House - This house shares ground with a neighboring cemetery, and thus has some tie to the graveyard. Several years ago a girl was struck by lightning in the tower. On stormy nights her shadow appears inside the window when the lightning shines against it. Because it drew so many onlookers over the years the windows were painted over. But that didn’t stop people from coming. Nor did it stop the girl?s ghost from appearing inside the window on stormy nights.
