While I want to see the movie, it raises a few serious questions.
Will this be another PR nightmare for us, ala, The Craft?
Will we find ourselves inundated with throngs of teens seeking the kind of power that they "saw in that cool movie"?
Will we be able to positively spin the movie, so to allow for true teaching to occur; or do we turn them away out of the audacity of wanting a religion based on power alone?
Thoughts?

I hate to say this, but I suspect it's going to be something like a cross between The Craft and Underworld 2. Something about the way it looks in the commercials just doesn't seem quite right.
Which is too bad. I'd like to see someone make a movie with that sort of theme, and do it right.

Well, I saw the movie tonight.
I have to say I loved it.
It had witchcraft completely wrong. But it was entertaining. Do I think it'll create a PR nightmare like the Craft? Probably, but to a much lesser extent I imagine.
We can only wait and see, I guess...

I don't think it'll cause too much of a stir in the Craft sense. The Craft came around at just the right time to touch a cultural nerve for people of that age- like Nirvana in the early 90's, or Marilyn Manson in the late 90's- and sparked off the resulting media nightmare. I don't think the conditions are right for it to happen again.
I hope not.
