What kind of music do you use for meditation or rituals (if any). What works, and what doesn't work, and why?
As for myself, when I'm doing any kind of inner working, I tend to go for dark-toned stuff. Lustmord, or Thomas Koner, or Isomorph is good for what I do. Sometimes, if I'm meditating instead of working, I aim for 10,000 days (the latest Tool album) or something suitably driving.
What about you folks?

Ya know, it really depends on my mood.
As far as meditation goes, I've used traditional Irish folk, classical, Scottish or any version of celtic music, really, plus more *modern* music (Rush, Pink Floyd).
For rituals, I don't normally turn to music that often, anymore. I used to, quite a bit. Also running the gammit from all of the above to things like Metallica, Stevie Ray Vaughan or even Chet Atkins or Roy Clark. It just depended on my mood, or my intentions.
Lately (the last few years) I've become addicted to more of pipes and Celtic music, tho. Celtic Woman (which is actually 5 women) is really good for swaying my moods toward more grounded and centered work. But I still usually avoid music for rituals, these days.
