All right folks, all arguing aside. Lets have some opinions. What is your idea of the meaning of life?

| Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. |

someone always says 42 to this question (normally those who have read the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy).
So my answer to the meaning of life, the universe and everything is not 42, but why the answer is 42.

It's what you make of it. My brother has wasted his life on drugs and drinking - so his life has had little meaning. (And I'm serious - he's a SAD, SAD case.)

Actually, I agree somewhat with Pizzaguy on this one. I think we create our own stories, both on a personal level and between people, and those stories- and the greater archetypes they reflect- echo up in a spiral through the ages, forming a picture we can't yet see.
I don't think there's any one phrase or paragraph that could state it, but I don't think that matters, either. A beautiful piece of music has meaning and depth and power, though it need not contain any words. In fact, it is often far MORE meaningful and powerful than any words we could make for it.
I suspect this may also be part of the key to telepathy, but that's neither here nor there.

I think happiness could be a meaning of life. If you could find one thing that makes you happy and you do it on a daily baisis, them you could feel alittle lighter.
