Posted - August 29 2006 : 12:17:42 AM ForumCo.com is the parent hosting company. The home button takes you to myspace, because I linked it that way. I plan on having a MySpace promotional "site" which links back to the forum, thus giving us a larger margin of traffic.
Just my odd marketing ideas at work.
And I'm working slowly towards getting the MySpace page up and running. But I'm working fulltime, and getting this board up and running. So yeah, it's alot of work, altogether.

Posted - August 28 2006 : 11:16:32 PM By the way, is ForumCo.com a subgroup of Myspace.com? I noticed when I hit the home button I ended up at myspace. If we are following there rules, which on paper are not all that bad, I hope the members are policed better here than there. Because those rules really don't seem to be getting any attention from their members. LOL
And whats wrong with Hillary on a donkey? She's a Democrat isn't she. HAHA

Another thing, this rule here.
No posting links to outside sources which could be construed as offensive to other members.
Kinda open to personal viewpoints isn't it? I mean, if someone posts a picture of Hillary I get offended. Let alone if they use her as a source of discussion. LOL
Some here are going to be offended by anything said that is pro-gay/abortion/religious etc., while others will be offended by things that are anti-gay/abortion/religious etc.
So how exactly do we police what "could be" construed as offensive. There are already some signature lines that I'm sure are offensive to other members already.
I just think "offensive" is too subjective a word in a freespeech world. Maybe you might add something in the line of, "after review from a panel of board members or staff". You're probably already offended by me trying to tell you how to run your site. LOL

Pornography, vulgarity, hate-sites, and the ilk are all construed as being offense to all (according to the standards set aside by our Parent: ForumCo.com). If someone has an issue with say, a picture of Hillary, they can PM a mod or myself, and we will review it. If we believe the offense to be genuine, then removal will occur.
I know you're going to get subjective and ask what I mean by genuine, and I'll tell you. If it's a picture of Hillary, it will stay. If it's a picture of Hillary riding a donkey, naked, ala Lady Godiva, through the streets of DC, we'll remove it.

Let me pose something to you.
If you're in the pagan forum, and quoting scripture. Is it equally okay for someone to be in the christian forum, using pagan reference material in your discussion?
If it is, then by all means. Go for it.
If we see people using their scriptural or religious materials as a way of "shoving" their religion on others, we'll step in. Otherwise, use some common sense. And yet again, I'll amend the rules.
Since this is not a Christian site and you do not have a "Christian only" or "Pagan only" etc. designation, then I was rather expecting that it was more open to diverse opinions(which indeed need to be backed up by whatever they feel is relevant)Since you have not restricted the various forums to just those that follow that belief, it may pose difficult to stop a persons apposing beliefs from popping up.
I am just trying to clear up the limitations on this site for myself and others that are new to this new site.

I'm afraid if I post links to scripture or christian sites it could be construed as "hate speech" or some other kind of "hate" language.
Make sense?
"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them." -- Matthew 7:15-19
Linking to scripture is fine, as long as it's done in the religious forums or Open forum, and the scripture is not being used out of context to support any sort of hateful agenda, or being used to "shove" at someone.
So, you're fine.:)
